Sol Silk Square Scarf

Sol is an organic silk scarf, in a yellow and blue painted print by expressionist artist James Watkins. It's like a little piece of sunshine to tie around your neck. 

Sol's artwork is joyous. A circular line cuts through panes of yellow and blue, like an orb of sunlight. Green fingers of Mother Earth and a flower petal reach upwards from the bottom. It is evocative of the vivid colours in Oaxaca, Mexico.

At 65 x 65 cm, the scarf is larger than a traditional square. It's a versatile size and can be worn tied at the neck, in the hair, attached to a handbag, or as a top.

Made in England, with hems hand-rolled in France.

Fabric & Sustainability

Composition: 100% organic silk.

Silk is a natural fabric and biodegradable, though it is worth noting traditional silk production kills silkworms in the process.

Production: Our manufacturer is based in the countryside of Macclesfield, England and has been printing on silk for over 50 years. They're certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), ensuring their fabrics are produced ethically and in fair working conditions. Their silks contain at least 95% organic fibres and are free from any potentially toxic chemicals.

Packaging: Our products are shipped in 100% compostable mailers, which are both home and commercially compostable, once the shipping labels have been removed. Our soy-based ink stickers are also compostable.

Our measurements are taken in cm from the products laid flat, from seam to seam.
