Isalos Silk Button-Up Shirt

Isalos is a printed white silk button-up shirt, imbued with painted motifs by artist Laurence Watchorn. It's finished with blue marbled bioresin buttons, meaning they're plastic-free.

In Laurence's Chelsea, London studio, we selected painted elements from his various works of art. These were photographed, extracted digitally, and then printed onto silk.

The motifs resemble joyful images that give us the same feeling as a serotonin boost on a summer's day. On the back, an expressionist nude figure lounges under the sun. On the front, a spiral sun is casually etched on the shoulder.

Isalos is ready to be layered over a bathing suit to head to the pool, or worn with wide-leg pants for a breezy dinner by the ocean.

Fabric & Sustainability

Composition: 100% silk.

Our silk is digitally printed by a supplier working out of the heritage 'silk town' of Macclesfield, UK, which has been established there for over 50 years.

Silk is a biodegradable natural fabric, though it is worth noting that traditional silk production kills silkworms.

Production: Manufactured at a North London-based small-batch production studio. The pieces are made in studio by their talented seamstresses and cutters.

Packaging: Our products are shipped in 100% compostable mailers, which are both home and commercially compostable, once the shipping labels have been removed. Our soy-based ink stickers are also compostable.

Sizing

Model is 5'9, wearing size small.

Our measurements are taken in cm from the products laid flat, from seam to seam.

Care Instructions

Hand wash in cold water. Do not bleach. Hang to dry. Iron on a low setting, inside out. Do not dry clean.
