Persephone Bodice Maxi Dress in Tangerine/Off-White

Persephone is a vibrant, statement-making summer dress. It features a tangerine silk balconette bodice, attached to a flowing, off-white bias-cut skirt.

Fabric & Sustainability

Composition: Bodice: 100% silk.

Silk is a biodegradable natural fabric, though it's worth noting that traditional silk production kills silkworms.

Skirt: 100% bamboo.

This fabric is made from organic bamboo fibres, two-to-three years old from sustainably-managed forests (FSC certified). It's processed in a closed loop system, meaning chemicals used to treat the fibres are reused. Bamboo fibres are beneficial for their breathable and naturally antibacterial qualities.

Lining: 60% Bemberg ^™ cupro and 40% viscose.

Bemberg™ cupro is made from discarded cotton linters, a pre-consumer material which is a byproduct of the manufacturing process of cottonseed oil.

Viscose is a plant-based silk - it's sourced from wood pulp. Please note that in order to smooth the wood pulp fibres, chemical intervention is used in the production process.

Production:

Manufactured at a North London-based small-batch production studio. The pieces are made in studio by their talented seamstresses and cutters. 

It takes five hours to cut and sew just one of our pieces.

Packaging: Our products are shipped in 100% compostable mailers, which are both home and commercially compostable, once the shipping labels have been removed. Our stickers are printed on recycled paper.

Sizing

Model is 5'8, wearing size small.

Our measurements are taken in cm from the products laid flat, from seam to seam.
